Terms of Service

Welcome to SVETLANA ABDELA MAKEUP & HAIR LLC! By using our website and booking our services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Description of Services
We provide professional hair and makeup services both in-studio and on-location. Our offerings include:
Bridal makeup and hairstyling
Event makeup and hairstyling
Beauty consultations
Lash lift, brow shaping, and brow tinting (in-studio only)
2. Booking & Cancellation Policy
We value your time and reserve appointments exclusively for you. This policy protects both our clients and our artists.
a. Booking
Appointments are arranged with the studio. Svetlana may set your date and start time, or send a personal link so you can choose from the available dates and times. All appointment times shown in that link are Chicago local time (America/Chicago). The start time is when the appointment begins, not the time you must be ready.
The event date is considered reserved only after the deposit has been received. Confirming appointment details or accepting documents does not certify that payment has been received. Payment is recorded separately by the studio. This website and the confirmation page do not take payment or authorize automatic card charges.
b. Cancellation Policy
There is no additional cancellation fee. If the client cancels the appointment, the deposit is forfeited and is not refunded. There is no separate fee for cancellation less than 48 hours before the appointment. Contact the studio directly to cancel; closing a booking or confirmation page does not cancel an appointment.
c. Deposit Policy
A deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is applied to the agreed service balance. Your service price, inclusions, travel charges, deposit amount and payment deadline must be provided and agreed separately in writing before payment. A “from” price is not a final quote.
d. Service Changes
If the studio cannot provide an agreed service, contact it to discuss rescheduling or resolve payment for the unperformed service. Rights that cannot be waived under applicable law remain unchanged.
e. Refunds
Adjustments can be made during the service. Once the service is completed, it is considered accepted. No refunds for the service provided and completed. Tell the Artist about preferences or requested adjustments while the service is being performed.
3. Service Policies
A client arriving 15–30 minutes after the scheduled appointment start is charged an additional $50.
A client arriving 31–60 minutes late is charged an additional $100.
Contact the Artist as soon as you know you will be late. These terms establish no additional rate for a delay longer than 60 minutes; discuss whether the service can proceed with the Artist. Late-arrival fees are not calculated or collected automatically by the website or confirmation page.
Inform us of any allergies, sensitivities, or health concerns before your appointment.
We reserve the right to refuse service to clients displaying inappropriate or unsafe behavior.
Photographs and Videos
Taking photographs/videos, publishing them on abc-face.com, publishing them in organic Instagram posts, and using them in paid advertising each require a separate optional permission. The client chooses “I consent” or “I do not consent” for each permission shown on the personal confirmation page. Refusing any or all of them does not prevent an appointment or change the service price. Accepting these Terms of Service does not itself grant any photo/video permission.
Website or organic Instagram permission does not authorize paid ads or boosting. Permission to publish does not override a refusal to take new photographs/videos. The separate documents describe the permitted uses, limitations and withdrawal process. You may revoke consent in writing through info@abc-face.com; the studio handles withdrawal and removal from channels it controls. Removal of third-party copies cannot be guaranteed.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on this website (photos, text, branding, and design) is the property of SVETLANA ABDELA MAKEUP & HAIR LLC and may not be reused or distributed without written permission.
You may not use our name, logo, or any service marks without prior written approval.
5. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
By booking a service, you acknowledge and accept the following:
a. Skin Sensitivity & Allergies
The client agrees to inform the Artist of any known allergies or sensitivities prior to the service.
The Artist uses professional products and follows hygiene standards, however cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur, as individual skin responses may vary.
The Artist is not liable for any allergic reactions or sensitivities.
Patch tests are available upon request. Contact the Artist before the appointment to discuss the applicable product and test timing. A product sensitivity test is not medical diagnosis or a guarantee that no reaction will occur. You do not have to declare that you have no allergies to confirm an appointment; provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge and discuss uncertainties with the Artist before the service.
b. Dissatisfaction from Communication Issues
We are not responsible for dissatisfaction caused by unclear or incomplete communication regarding preferences or expectations.
c. Result Variability
Outcomes may vary based on:
Individual skin or hair type
Weather conditions (heat, humidity, etc.)
Product compatibility and texture
d. No Guarantee of Longevity
Although professional techniques are used, we do not guarantee makeup or hairstyle longevity under all conditions (e.g., sweating, crying, etc.).
e. Delays
We are not liable for delays caused by:
Client’s tardiness
Access issues at venue
Traffic or uncontrollable travel conditions
f. Photography & Lighting
We are not responsible for how your look appears in third-party photos or videos, which may be affected by lighting, editing, or equipment.
g. Third-Party Interference
We are not liable for results affected by other individuals modifying the work (e.g., applying makeup over ours, incorrect veil placement).
h. No Refund Policy
Due to the nature of the work, all completed services are final and non-refundable.
i. Technical Issues
We are not liable for issues due to:
Website downtime
Internet connectivity
Errors from third-party booking platforms
j. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or service failures due to events beyond our control (natural disasters, illness, accidents, etc.).
6. Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction
Illinois law applies, subject to mandatory consumer protections. Contact the studio first to resolve a concern. These terms do not require arbitration or waive access to remedies protected by law.
These updated terms apply from the effective date above. An earlier signed agreement is not amended silently; if its terms differ, ask Svetlana to resolve the difference in writing before accepting new appointment documents. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be waived.
